Shea's Performing Arts Center

Overview

Shea's Performing Arts Center is a historic performing arts venue located in Buffalo, New York. Established in 1926, it originally served as a grand movie theater known as "The Wonder Theatre." The center features three theaters: Shea's Buffalo Theatre, Shea's 710 Theatre, and Shea's Smith Theatre, each offering a variety of live performances, including Broadway productions, local plays, and comedy.

The flagship Shea's Buffalo Theatre is celebrated for its stunning European Baroque and Rococo design, featuring interiors by artist Louis Comfort Tiffany. It has hosted iconic performers and remains a premier venue for Broadway tours. Shea's 710 Theatre presents a mix of Broadway shows and plays, while Shea's Smith Theatre provides an intimate setting for Off-Broadway productions and local collaborations.

Dedicated to preserving its historic legacy and enhancing the cultural landscape of Buffalo, the organization continues ongoing restoration efforts and demonstrates a commitment to educational programs. Its mission is to foster a love for theater in the community and serve as a vital part of Buffalo’s Theatre District.
