Overview

To learn, to grow, to reach for the stars—these are the goals and dreams of the people served by Lakemary Center: children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Since 1969, Lakemary Center has been a leader in providing opportunities for individuals with special needs, focusing on maximizing their freedom and control to enrich their lives.

Each year, Lakemary Center supports more than 600 individuals and families. The children's psychiatric residential treatment program and school are located on a scenic 32-acre campus in Paola, Kansas. Lakemary also offers a wide range of individualized services for adults and children throughout Miami and Johnson counties, from early interventions for at-risk infants and toddlers to retirement supports for older adults, providing a lifetime of opportunities for those they serve.
