Overview

Central Dauphin School District is a public school district located in suburban Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Established in 1954, it serves central and eastern Dauphin County and is the largest district in the county, as well as the ninth-largest in the state. The district covers approximately 118 square miles and enrolls around 12,543 students in grades K-12 across 19 schools, supported by a staff of 1,789, including 854 full-time equivalent teachers.

The district operates two high schools, four middle schools, and thirteen elementary schools. It also features the CD Cyber Academy, an online program that follows the same curriculum as its in-person schools. Emphasizing academics, college preparation, and extracurricular activities, the district provides a diverse environment for students and is recognized for its strengths in diversity, college prep, and sports.
