Overview

TenneT Netherlands is the national electricity transmission system operator for the Netherlands, headquartered in Arnhem. As a subsidiary of TenneT Holding B.V., it is wholly owned by the Dutch Ministry of Finance. The company is responsible for building, operating, and maintaining the high-voltage grid across the country, which includes over 25,000 kilometers of lines and 485 substations. It also manages interconnections with neighboring countries and ensures grid balance between supply and demand.

The company focuses on power transmission, system services, and offshore grid development, including projects for North Sea wind energy. TenneT is committed to expanding its infrastructure to support the energy transition with significant investments in grid development.
