Overview

North Kansas City Schools is a public school district serving the North Kansas City area and nearby communities in Kansas City, Missouri. Established in 1913, the district has a long history and is recognized as the second-largest and one of the most diverse school districts in Missouri, serving over 20,000 students.

The district offers a comprehensive PreK-12 educational system with 21 elementary schools, two sixth grade centers, four middle schools, and four high schools. It provides a range of academic programs, including gifted and honors offerings, college and career pathways, A+ certified high schools, and work-based learning experiences.
