Overview

Fraser Health Authority (FHA) is a regional public health authority in British Columbia, Canada, serving over 1.9–2 million people across 20 communities, including Burnaby and Boston Bar. As the largest health authority in the province, it delivers a wide range of hospital and community-based health services, operating on the traditional lands of the Coast Salish and Nlaka'pamux Nations.

Established in December 2001 through the merger of three former health regions, the organization works closely with the Ministry of Health to enhance health and well-being. It provides integrated services such as primary health care, mental health and addictions services, acute medical and surgical care, and public health services. With 13 acute-care hospitals and numerous community facilities, it is committed to providing inclusive care, particularly for Indigenous peoples, and addressing systemic barriers to ensure equitable access to health services.
