Overview

FNBO, or First National Bank of Omaha, is a prominent financial institution based in Omaha, Nebraska. Established in 1857, it holds the distinction of being the oldest national bank west of the Missouri River and is ranked among the largest banks in the United States. Operated as a subsidiary of First National of Nebraska, Inc., it is primarily owned by the Lauritzen family and underwent a rebrand to FNBO in 2020.

The institution offers an extensive suite of banking and financial services for consumers, small businesses, and commercial clients. These include personal banking solutions, credit cards, loans, mortgages, business banking services, wealth management, investment planning, and trust services. With a legacy of financial innovation, FNBO was the first in its region to issue credit cards and the first U.S. bank to utilize fuel cell technology for power.
