The Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal (CHUM) is the largest university hospital center in Quebec and among the largest hospital complexes in North America. Established in 1995 through the merger of three hospitals, it provides specialized care across more than 35 medical disciplines and serves as a major teaching and research hub affiliated with the Université de Montréal.

With a focus on cancer care, neurosciences, and cardiovascular and metabolic health, CHUM offers a wide range of advanced services including diagnostic and interventional imaging, robotic surgery techniques, and comprehensive treatment. The hospital accommodates 772 beds and processes approximately 345,000 outpatient consultations and 65,000 emergency patients annually. Renowned for its research and educational contributions, it ranks among the top 10 research hospitals in Canada as of December 2024.
