Through its grant programs and its subsidiary, The Connecticut Higher Education Supplemental Loan Authority ("CHESLA"), CHEFA expands educational opportunities in the state, while its newly formed subsidiary, the CHEFA Community Development Corporation ("CHEFA CDC"), helps finance projects for nonprofits serving low-income communities.
