Overview

Carroll College is a private Catholic liberal arts college located in Helena, Montana. Founded in 1909 by Bishop John Patrick Carroll, the college originally served as an all-male institution focused on preparing students for various professions, including priesthood, law, medicine, teaching, and engineering. It became coeducational in 1946 and now enrolls about 1,500 students of all faiths, primarily Catholic, on a 63-acre campus featuring 21 buildings.

The college offers over 35 academic majors within a liberal arts framework, emphasizing Catholic higher education and leadership. Carroll College maintains its Catholic heritage, with St. Charles Borromeo as its patron saint, and celebrates its history through traditions such as Founder's Day.
